Failed paver sealer? We strip it and reseal it.
Old sealer that turned cloudy, white or patchy comes off first. Then we clean, re-sand and seal it properly.
Cloudy, white or peeling sealer? It has to come off.
When a sealer fails, from a poor product, a DIY job or too many coats, it can turn cloudy, milky, white or dull. Sealing over the top only traps the problem.
Stripping removes the old coating so the new sealer can bond to the paver.

Inspect
We look at the pavers, the old sealer and the joints, and note any staining, flaking or joint damage.
Strip
A stripping product breaks down the old sealer, and we wash it off the surface and out of the joints.
Clean and re-sand
We clean the bare pavers and put fresh sand back in the joints.
Reseal
A new coat goes down in the finish you choose.
Stripping & Resealing: common questions
My old sealer looks cloudy or white. Can you fix it?
Yes. A failed coat has to be stripped off first. Sealing over it only traps the problem. We remove the old sealer, clean the surface, re-sand the joints and then reseal.
Should I just replace my pavers?
Usually not. If the pavers and the base under them are sound, they can be cleaned, re-sanded and sealed to bring them back, which costs far less than a new install. If you do replace them, plan to seal the new ones too.
How much does paver sealing cost?
Every job is different, so the only way to give you an accurate price is to see it. We can sometimes give a rough idea over the phone, but the real number comes from a free on-site estimate where we measure the area, check the joint sand and look for old sealer.
